Attributesare additional information pairs (name & value) that describeadditional information for a particular entry. Private attributes are only viewable by the users who have editorial and/oradministration rights to that specific entry and are logged in. The value provides information about a specific named attribute.

For example, if you want to save private information in the Sun Software Library that helps you track an entity, such as a product ID, but donot want to expose it to other users in the system, you can store itas a private attribute.
